Two-time Thalia Award winner, actress and singer Hana Holišová, will be the main soloist of the 60th anniversary Gala Ball of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Brno University of Technology. She will perform together with the Brno-based big band New Time Orchestra. Engineers and engineering students will gather on Friday, 20 March 2026, at Hotel International in Brno.

A big band with a classic instrumental line-up, combined with a unique mix of chansons, swing, jazz, film music and international popular hits—this is the musical menu we will offer to employees, students, alumni and friends of the faculty at the anniversary ball.

Singers Hana Holišová and Radek Melša, accompanied by the New Time Orchestra, will perform in the main hall of Hotel International. Interestingly, the bandleader of the eighteen-member ensemble is Marek Scholler, a graduate of our faculty, who professionally pursues not only music but also thermomechanics.

Varied Music in Three Halls

In the Lucullus Hall, visitors can look forward to modern music by the band Spazier Gang, while in the smallest hall, Plzeňka, mechanical engineering hearts will once again be delighted by the Grajcar cimbalom band, conducted by Martin Zlomek.

Guests will have reserved seating in their selected hall, but they are free to enjoy dancing and music in all three halls. The ticket price includes reserved seating, a cloakroom, a welcome drink, and a bottle of wine per couple. The ticket price for the main hall remains the same as last year, CZK 800 per person. Tickets for the Lucullus and Plzeňka halls cost CZK 600 per person.

Last year, visitors were thrilled with the retro-style photo booth, which is why we have decided to include it again this year. Take the opportunity to leave the evening with a beautifully printed souvenir that can decorate your office for the entire year to come.

Online Ticket Sales Start on Monday, 2 February at 10:00

Tickets will be available for purchase via the GoOut.net platform. Sales will be divided into three waves.

• On Monday, 2 February at 10:00, ticket purchases will be open to FME students and employees after logging in.

• From Monday, 9 February at 10:00, ticket sales will open to FME alumni and employees of other BUT departments.

• From 23 February, tickets will be available to all interested guests without restrictions.
