Learning outcomes of the course unit
Skills obtained in this course shall enable to gain overview in the field of electric drives control systems design. Students should be able to select appropriate electric drive for given application and to specify requirements for control system after passing the course. Students should also be able to program a control loop for simple systems.
Prerequisites
Knowledge at undergraduate level in physics, mathematics and electro technic is assumed.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course will be taught in a form of lectures including laboratory exercises.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes
Necessary condition for passing the course is attendance and participation in laboratory exercises and completing the given tasks.
Aims
Introducing the basic features and control possibilities of electric drives
Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences
Participation in laboratory exercises is compulsory. Compensation of missed lessons depends on the instructions of course supervisor.
