Students are expected to have command of English at least at B1 level.
Rules for evaluation and completion of the course
The credit requirements are based on student’s work during the semester and a credit test. Students take the credit test at the end of the semester and can earn up to 50 points. In order to fulfil the credit requirements, the student must earn a minimum of 30 points. In case this benchmark is not achieved, there is a possibility for the student to resit the test once in the exam period.
Aims
This course aims to increase students' profficiency and confidence in communication in English at B2 level. The course develops specific skills needed in ICAO assesments and to function effectively and safely in an aviation environment.

1. U1 – Runway incursion (avoiding miscomunication, airport layout, questions)
2. U1 – Runway incursion (ground operations)
3. U2 – Lost (Across the Pacific, Finding flight N45AC, present perfect and past simple)
4. U2 – Lost (topographical features)
5. U3 – Technology (datalink, flight control systems, -ing form and to-infinitive)
6. U3 – Technology (instrument panel, decisions)
7. U4 – Animals (wildlife on the ground, cargo, modals)
8. U4 – Animals (bird strike, saying intentions, future forms)
9. U5 – Gravity (manoeuvering an aircraft, units of measurement, comparatives and superlatives)
10. U5 – Gravity (hydraulic loss)
11. U6 – Health (medical emergencies, making suggestions)
12. U6 – Health (giving and asking for updates)
