Course assessment is based on students' attendance, active participation in classroom activities, and the result of the final oral examination. Attendance in the course is compulsory. Students who meet the attendance requirements receive a course-unit credit and are eligible to take the final oral exam.

In justified cases, extra absences can be compensated for after consulting the situation with the teacher.

The final oral exam aims to assess students' ability to articulate their views on personal and social topics using an appropriate level of English. The evaluation focuses on students' capacity to speak independently and to interact with the teacher. Furthermore, the exam evaluates the degree of fluency as well as grammatical and lexical accuracy expected at the level B2. A minimum of 50% of the total examination points is required for a passing grade.

Aims

The aim of this course is to reinforce students' individual competencies in expressing themselves fluently and accurately in English in order to gain greater confidence when communicating in international and multicultural settings.

Previously acquired knowledge of grammar and vocabulary will be reviewed and systematically expanded through practical, real-life contexts. The course can also be used as a preparation for international English language exams.
