Technological Preparation of Production

Methodology of production planning applied in manufacture of engineering components focused on the machining technology. Designing production procedures for machining of typical engineering components. Analysis of technological influence on the manufacturing process. Optimization of a machining manufacturing process.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course
Course unit credit requirements:
-participation in the exercises,
-delivery of assigned papers.
The exam will be written and oral and the resulting classification will be in accordance with Article 12 and 13 of the current BUT Study and Examination Regulations.
It is classificated to the ECTS grading scale.
Missed lessons will be compensated in alternative exercises by arrangement with the teacher.
Attendance in lectures is recommended.
Attendance in exercises is compulsory.
The attendance to the seminar is regularly checked and the participation in the lesson is recorded.
Aims
The course will familiarise students with the methodology of designing production procedures for machining of typical engineering components with respect to individual stages of the manufacturing process.
Students will be acquainted with an analytical approach applied for solution of the basic problems in designing production procedures applied in manufacturing of engineering components. They will be familiarised with respective technological issues including quantification of the time consumption and economic appraisal..

6. Technology for manufacturing rotating components – shafts
7. Technology for manufacturing rotating components – flanges, discs, bushings, pins
8. Gear production technology
9. Non-rotating component production technology
10. Preparation of semi-finished products for machining operations
11. Checking the dimensional accuracy of machined surfaces
12. TgPV as an integrated part of the production process
13. Technological design, design and technological standardization
