The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering organized an exceptional sports competition as part of the University Sports Day. On the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the foundation of the Faculty, staff members from various institutes as well as from the Dean's Office measured their strength in a football tournament. Not only the gentlemen but also the brave ladies shone during the game. The winning team were colleagues from the Institute of Mathematics.

Not only mathematicians, but also other researchers and teachers from other institutes and colleagues from the dean's office exchanged their shoes for soccer cleats on Wednesday, 21 May, and competed in a small soccer tournament. The sports competition was held in a very friendly atmosphere. More important than winning was to participate.

The afternoon was then followed by a gathering of the faculty staff for a birthday barbecue. The trophy and prizes for the best team were received by the representatives of the Institute of Mathematics from the hands of the Dean of FME Jiří Hlinka. Congratulations to all athletes and thank you for their enthusiasm, commitment and performance.
