SKAKUII 2025 Principia Cybernetica is a space for Czech and Slovak technical university representatives to meet and share news about teaching, research project results, and experiences with creating and improving study programs. The Institute of Automation and Computer Science organized this joint meeting in an unconventional format on September 3–4.
The meetings of institutes and departments of automation, cybernetics, and artificial intelligence traditionally occur in two formats – Principia Cybernetica at mechanical and technological faculties and SKAKUII at electrical engineering and informatics faculties. This year's edition again brings all these communities together in a single forum, SKAKUII 2025 Principia Cybernetica, which BUT hosted, specifically the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
In addition to the traditional presentation of workplaces, this year's program at FME BUT included scientific and industrial lectures devoted, among other things, to artificial intelligence tools and methods, automation, measurement, the use of synthetic data, and AI applications in industry, teaching, and everyday practice.
"These events are an opportunity for informal, friendly meetings between colleagues from the same field, for individual debates, and for agreeing on cooperation. That is why the accompanying program offered concerts, social gatherings, and a closing ceremony in the unique premises of the Brno Water Tanks," adds Zdeněk Hadaš, director of the Institute of Automation and Computer Science.
