The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Brno University of Technology has held the 11th edition of the Industrial Enterprise Award, an annual competition recognising the best bachelor’s and master’s theses completed at the faculty. The competition also connects students with industrial partners and creates opportunities for future collaboration and employment.
The evaluation committee consisted of representatives of partner companies Bosch Powertrain, Garrett Motion, Honeywell, onsemi, PBS Velká Bíteš and Thermofisher Scientific, together with the faculty management. This year, state examination committees nominated 18 bachelor’s and 28 master’s theses. Students presented their projects through posters and short presentations before an expert jury, which assessed not only the professional quality and contribution of each thesis, but also the way it was presented.
Based on the committee’s evaluation, 12 bachelor’s and 18 master’s theses received awards. The prizes went to students whose work stood out for its originality, technical quality and potential for practical application in industry.
The Industrial Enterprise Award competition has long been an important part of cooperation between the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at BUT and its industrial partners. It enables companies to identify talented students while they are still studying and gives students an opportunity to present the results of their work to industry experts.
