On 15 and 16 October 2026, FME will host the major international conference EUA Funding Forum 2026 (more information is available here)
Changes to teaching
On Thursday 15 and Friday 16 October, classrooms U5, U6, U7 and U8, lecture rooms P4, P5 and P6, and auditorium Q will be unavailable for teaching due to the conference.
Most classes originally scheduled in these rooms have been relocated to alternative venues. Students are therefore asked to check their updated timetables before attending classes. Any room changes for these dates will be shown in the timetable, or students will be informed of alternative rooms directly by their teachers.
If a class is crossed out in the timetable for either day, it is cancelled and will not be rescheduled.
Classes held in rooms other than those listed above will not be affected.
Campus operations at FME
During both days, increased numbers of conference participants are expected on campus, and certain areas will be temporarily reserved for the event.
Part of the car park in front of building A1 will be reserved for conference use. Depending on the conference programme and organisational requirements, additional areas of the FME campus may also be temporarily reserved or access to them restricted, including, for example, the glass-walled rooms and study rooms in building A6.
Students and staff are asked to follow all temporary signs and instructions from the event organisers during these two days.
We will do our best to maintain normal faculty operations wherever possible. Thank you for your understanding and for helping us provide a welcoming environment for conference participants visiting FME.
