The term of office of the current FME management will expire at the end of January 2026, and the Academic Senate therefore announced an election for the candidate to be appointed dean for the next term of office this autumn. At its meeting on November 27, the senators then elected the current dean, Jiří Hlinka, who was the only candidate. He received 27 votes from the 28 senators present. The elected candidate for dean must still be appointed to the position by the university rector.
Jiří Hlinka has been a member of the faculty management since 2014, previously as Vice-Dean for External Relations and Cooperation with Industry, and since 2022 as Dean. He has been re-elected to this role and will therefore lead the school for another four years, from February 2026 until January 31, 2030.
According to Dean Hlinka's plans, the rest of the current management will remain in a similar composition, but the position of fifth vice-dean will be added and some vice-dean competencies will be redistributed.
Planned team of vice-deans:
- Candidate for vice-dean for external relations, habilitation and appointment procedures – Prof. Ivan Křupka, Ph.D.
