Learning outcomes of the course unit
The subject Machine Design – B provides a knowledge of the composing of element drawings considering production technology and its practical application. The student is able to create the drawing documentation of assembly unit and drawing of selected machine elements (toothed wheels, castings, forgings, etc.).
Prerequisites
Knowledge of design basics (fundamentals of drawing principles, drawing documentation, dimensioning, tolerances, principles of functional and technological dimensioning), materials science (selection of materials and its normalization).
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course is taught through lectures explaining the basic principles and theory of the discipline. Practice are focused on practical topics presented in lectures.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes
Graded course-unit credit requirements: attendance at seminars and graphic projects (programs), tests and exercises elaboration. Student must fulfill all four conditions. Final classification according to ECTS.
Aims
The aim of the subject Machine Design – B is to teach students how to create a machine element drawing when the element is manufactured by any kind of technology with ensuring its function and interchangeability. The students will be informed about all kinds of production drawing documentation and consequently independently able to create such documentation.
Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences
Attendance at seminars is checked. Maximum of two authorized absence without compensation of lesson are allowed.
