Original abstract

We present the comparison between Daubechies complex-valued wavelets (DCW) and Daubechies real-valued wavelets (DRW) in denoising application. The discrete dyadic wavelet transform (DWT) with decimation (nonredundant) is used as well as the undecimated DWT. We show that denoising with DCW leads to higher SNR than denoising with DRW.
