Beautiful weather set the scene for the first Girls from FME gathering of the academic year. More than twenty students from Czech- and English-taught degree programmes joined mentors from among the faculty's student ambassadors and PhD students for a Walk & Talk – a group walk with plenty of opportunities to get to know one another, share experiences and ask questions about studying and life at FME.
Girls from FME brings together female students from different years and fields of study, creating opportunities for informal networking and mutual support. Helping students meet others and build their own network of contacts within the faculty is one of the programme's main goals.
Jana Hoderová, Vice-Dean for Bachelor's Studies, also joined the walk, giving her an opportunity to welcome new students to the faculty in an informal setting. You can get a feel for the atmosphere through an Instagram post by our student Sisi Hradilová.
Next time: strojLAB
The next gathering will be a creative one. Participants will have the chance to make their own decorative piece at strojLAB while exploring the facilities and possibilities offered by the faculty's open workshop. Further details, including registration, will be announced soon.
